Scientific name: Xiphias gladus
Swordfish has a firm, meaty texture and contains ample amounts of Selenium, Niacin, Vitamin B12, and Zinc. Bright white or pink swordfish meat with a bright red bloodline denotes freshness. Peak swordfish landings are August through October, which is also when the prices tend to be low.
